TransAsia recently launched a unique initiative entitled “ChinaGoAbroad.com” (CGA). 

CGA is a members-only project focused on Chinese outbound investment with both online and offline components, as follows: 

• Website: online platform for exchanging information relating to Chinese outbound investment, including actual investment opportunities being offered and sought by members; and
• Confidential Professional Consultancy: premium advisory service led by TransAsia Lawyers, through which CGA members can seek, promote and implement investments with complete discretion.

Members receive direct access to: 

• 400 key SOEs, 5,000 private sector companies, and high-net worth individuals from China 
• owners and operators of assets globally
• leading service providers
• expert sources of knowledge
• government agencies

There are two types of membership:

1. Subscribing Members

   • Invitations to CGA workshops, members-only events
   • Member profile page (Spring 2012)
2. Contributing Members
   
   • Post info about projects, conferences, events
   • Contribute content to website
   • Dedicated webpage featuring link, logo, contact details
   • Co-host and attend CGA events

Beta 1.0 was launched in November 2011. Beta 2.0 is currently under development and will feature expanded geographic coverage and content as well as introduce several new features. It is due to go live Spring 2011. 

Current features include:

• Up-to-date, reliable information about investment opportunities spanning 18 countries
• Information covering the full life cycle of a transaction
• Access to world leading service providers
• Commentaries from industry experts 
• Information on training courses, conferences, networking sessions, workshops and other events both online and offline 
• Up-to-date, practical, topical articles on global foreign investment issues
• A collection of audio-visual materials related to outbound investment.
