Dr. Wan Presents at HKIHRM Annual Conference & Exhibition

Hong Kong: On November 24-25th TransAsia senior partner, and leader of its employment law practice Dr. Isabelle Wan was invited to present at the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM)'s  29th Annual Conference & Exhibition: WWW@Changing World, Winning Organization. Winning People. Winning Society. The conference sought to examine the strategies and best practices for building a winning organization in this ever-changing world, and to identify and pursue opportunities through strategic people management. 

Dr. Wan focused on the Chinese Employment Contract Law (ECL), which has been debated extensively since it came into effect in 2008. Together with its implementing regulations and other new regulations, the ECL has presented employers and HR professionals with many challenges in the best way to manage labor issues. During her session, Dr. Wan shared her viewpoints on the following issues:
