Peking University Law Students Awarded TransAsia's Students of Legal Excellence Scholarship

Beijing: TransAsia recently announced the winners of the 2005 TransAsia Students of Legal Excellence Scholarship. The TransAsia Scholarship seeks to identify, encourage, and reward academic and overall excellence as part of TransAsia's continuing commitment to the development of China's legal system. A review committee consisting of 3 Peking University Law Professors chose 1 first-level, 3 second-level, and 6 third-level Scholarship recipients from Peking University Law School's graduate program.The committee selected winners based on factors such as academic record, activities reflecting good citizenship and involvement in campus organizations; they were also evaluated based on their English-language reading, writing and listening comprehension abilities. Special consideration was given to those students specializing in International, Civil, and Commercial law. Peking University will hold a ceremony later this year to recognize the achievements of these outstanding individuals.
