TransAsia Partner Addresses the 1st International Forum on the Content Industry & Intellectual Property (CIIP)

Shanghai: Jesse Chang was invited to speak on regulatory developments and the challenges of new media at the 1st International Forum on the Content Industry & Intellectual Property, jointly held by East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

The Forum is part of the ECUPL-QUT Sino-Australian Intellectual Property Collaboration Program and provided a platform for academics, industry practitioners, consultants and government representatives to discuss key legal and policy developments with regards to the content industry and intellectual property in China and Australia.

Jesse shared his insight into the legal and policy framework for the digital content industry with the attendees by addressing the following areas:

  • Key legal issues, including market entry and corporate structure, as well as uncertainty in the regulatory environment
  • Regulatory framework
  • Regulatory spider web
  • Government studies
