TransAsia Partner Addresses Senior Management Personnel of Enterprises from Thailand and other ASEAN Countries

Bangkok: Isabelle Wan presented a one-day workshop: "PRC Labor Law - practical legal issues concerning foreign-invested enterprises" at the China/ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) Executive Program, for entrepreneurs, managers, executives, directors and other senior management personnel from enterprises in Thailand and other ASEAN countries.

The program was sponsored by the Institute of Private Economy of Peking University and Thailand Central Language Academy, and supported by the PRC National Development and Reformation Committee, PRC General Administration of Customs Affairs, Embassy of Thailand in China and Thailand Central Language Academy. The goal of the program is to assist people working in Thailand and CAFTA to understand China's legal system and environment.

Isabelle's workshop covered various aspects of employment law in China, and provided entrepreneurs with a better understanding of employment -related laws and regulations in China, as well as the content and current status of the PRC Labor Law. The workshop also gave illustrations of and solutions to many legal issues often encountered by foreign investors in China.
