Dr. Isabelle I H Wan (Leader of TransAsia Lawyers’ Employment Law Practice) spoke at a workshop on employment law in Beijing. The event was organized by two sub-district federations of trade unions under the Beijing Dongcheng District.

Dr. Wan discussed numerous contentious employment law issues, including:

• current trends and characteristics in labor dispute cases
• strategies behind establishing trade unions
• handling collective labor actions (including strikes)
• labor dispute resolution – notable case studies
• judicial interpretation on employment contracts and labor dispute resolution

Over 140 enterprise representatives and individuals attended the event.
