Workshop on the PRC Employment Contract Law

Singapore: The Implementing Regulations for the Employment Contract Law of the People's Republic of China  were promulgated by the State Council on 18 September 2008. They comprise 38 provisions, interpreting and supplementing the provisions of the Employment Contract Law and have far reaching implications for the application of the law on current and future employment relationships.

During a half day workshop organized by the Singapore Business Federation, Dr. Isabelle Wan focused on the changes brought about by the Implementing Regulations, particularly in light of the newly promulgated: Beijing: New Guiding Opinion regarding the Application of the Law in Labor Dispute CasesGuangdong: New Measures on the Implementation of the PRC Employment Promotion Law, and the New Shanghai High Court Guiding Opinions on Implementing the ECL.
