About Joon Ho Tan

Joon Ho advises clients on foreign investment in the PRC, market entry structures, e-commerce platforms, data protection and privacy, product liability, dispute resolution and other corporate and commercial issues. In addition, Joon Ho is part of TransAsia's Employment Law team, in connection with which he advises clients on expatriate employment (secondment) matters, stock option schemes and trade union issues.

Prior to joining TransAsia, Joon Ho was a senior associate in the litigation and dispute resolution department of one of the largest and most preeminent law firms in Malaysia. He has extensive experience in media (particularly defamation), contract, property, insurance, and tort law.

• Advised an international luxury retailer on its restructuring and establishment of its flagship outlet in China
• Advised TVSN on its stock option scheme for China employees
• Advised CTPartners on its market entry structure

• Advised a subsidiary of a leading Malaysian energy company on the recognition and enforcement of an arbitral award in the PRC
• Advised an eminent US university on its plans for an education cooperation project in the PRC
