About Helen

Helen's practice areas include employment law, intellectual property (IP) law, contract law and corporate law. She has extensive experience in advising on a wide range of employment-related matters, including employment contracts, wages, working hours, social insurance and welfare, hiring of expatriates, stock option, non-compete, IP protection, rewards and disciplinary policies, retrenchment as well as labor dispute resolution (mediation, arbitration and litigation).  She has also litigated numerous PRC employment law cases on behalf of both multinationals and domestic companies. 

Helen is also a licensed PRC trademark agent, regularly assisting clients to apply for trademark registration and advising on all facets of the protection of intellectual property rights in China.

Before joining TransAsia, Helen worked in the arbitration & litigation department of a Beijing-based law firm, assisting clients in civil and employment law matters, attending hearings on behalf of clients and advising on various legal issues and contracts. She has represented numerous foreign and Chinese clients in projects involving employment, intellectual property, and corporate law.

• Assisted a leading global software, mobile and hi-tech solutions provider to resolve various labor dispute arbitrations and litigations resulting from the termination of senior management personnel and general employees
• Advised a private equity firm on a former CEO's US$ 7.5 million claim for wrongful dismissal
• Assisted a foreign CEO to initiate a RMB 23 million claim against his former employer for wrongful dismissal
