Shanghai: TransAsia presented the winners of the 2007 TransAsia Students of Legal Excellence Scholarship with their prizes on campus at the East China University of Politics and Law. The TransAsia Scholarship seeks to identify, encourage, and reward academic and overall excellence, as part of TransAsia's continuing commitment to the development of China's legal system. A review committee consisting of TransAsia's senior partners and associates chose 1 first-level, 3 second-level, and 6 third-level Scholarship recipients from the East China University of Politics and Law's graduate program.
The committee selected winners based on factors such as academic record, activities reflecting good citizenship, and involvement in campus organizations; applicants were also evaluated based on their English-language reading, writing, and listening comprehension abilities. Special consideration was given to those students specializing in International, Civil, and Commercial law.
