TransAsia Partner Conducts Workshop on China Employment Contract Law

Singapore: With the increased interest that companies have shown in the Chinese market over the last few years, employment law is extremely important for those firms setting up or already operating in China.

Dr. Isabelle Wan [1] was proud to conduct a workshop on the new Implementing Regulations for the Employment Contract Law (ECL) hosted by the Singapore Business Federation. The Workshop  was designed to equip participants with practical knowledge on the application of the new law and addressed topics such as the proper adoption of open-ended contracts, how to properly handle termination under the ECL and the legal liabilities on severance pay.
