About Eric

Eric works across several of the firm's practice areas, including with the M&A and Corporate & Commercial teams. He chiefly handles market entry, restructuring, vehicle establishment and intellectual property issues for companies seeking to operate in China in a range of industries, such as technology and media.

Eric is also a member of the Outbound Investments team, where he assists Chinese companies with their international investments, particularly in the minerals and mining sectors.

Before coming to TransAsia, Eric worked as a corporate and securities associate with a well-known firm in New York.  He also worked with a prominent U.S. NGO, and recently taught international and trade law at the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade.

• Assisted several US game companies (webgames, MMORPGs, console) with their PRC market entry
• Advised a chinese civil aviation company on its joint venture with US manufacturing giant
• Assisted a PRC online video site and a PRC social network with their US IPOs
  Supported various US and PRC clients with their PRC copyright and domain name claims
• Advised a private equity fund with its Chinese cold logistics (trucking and warehousing) investment
• Assisted a US pipe manufacturer in its dispute negotiations with a PRC state owned petroleum company
• Supported an Australian explosives manufacturer in its proposed acquisition of a PRC subsidiary
