About Elson

Elson is the principal partner of Elson Pow & Associates. Established in December 1993, the firm's principal practice is in commercial law, with a special focus on business related to China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Elson was previously based in Sydney as an international partner at Baker & McKenzie. During his time there, he worked for 2 years out of its Taipei office. He then established and became the partner in charge of Baker & McKenzie's China practice in Australia, while also serving as a member of their world-wide China practice group. His area of practice has covered foreign investment, joint ventures, real estate, business acquisitions, immigration and general corporate and commercial law.

Elson has assisted numerous Australian companies with their joint venture, technology transfer and other investment projects in China. He has spent extended periods of time working in China and is also a legal advisor to a number of major corporations from China and Taiwan with operations in Australia.
