About Frank

Frank is an experienced member of the Private Equity & Venture Capital, M&A and Corporate & Commercial teams. He specializes in market entry structures, joint ventures and advising on the deployment of private equity funds and strategic investments and acquisitions made by private equity and venture capital clients. 

Working across the IT and telecoms, education, sports, advertising and media sectors, Frank also routinely attends to establishment and post-establishment issues, shareholder disputes, compliance issues and other general corporate matters. Assisting both Chinese and international clients, Frank works extensively to balance international commercial standards with local Chinese requirements. Prior to joining TransAsia, Frank worked as an intern at two leading PRC law firms in Beijing.

Recent Projects

• Participated in advising a U.S. private equity fund in its Series A financing of an education consulting company, and its subsequent acquisition and restructuring of the same
• Assisted a US private equity fund with its Series B investment in a software development company 
• Helped advise a TV shopping company on the establishment of a domestic joint venture with a local TV station
• Assisted in advising an international English language education and training company on the establishment of training schools around Beijing
• Participated in advising a multinational Internet company on regulatory issues regarding its online products
• Assisted in advising on the China market entry of an international sports organization
