About Helen

Helen has been advising on direct investments in China for the past 11 years, and on Chinese employment law for the past 8 years. Her practice areas include employment law, intellectual property (IP) law, contract law and corporate law. She has extensive experience in advising on a wide range of employment-related matters, including employment contracts, wages, working hours, social insurance and welfare, hiring of expatriates, stock options, non-compete provisions, IP protection, rewards and disciplinary policies, retrenchment as well as labor dispute resolution (mediation, arbitration and litigation).  She has also litigated numerous PRC employment law cases on behalf of both multinationals and domestic companies. 

Helen is a licensed PRC trademark agent, regularly assisting clients in their application for trademark registration, and advising on all facets of the protection of intellectual property rights in China.

Before joining TransAsia, Helen worked in the arbitration & litigation department of a Beijing-based law firm, assisting clients in civil and employment law matters, attending hearings on behalf of clients and advising on various legal issues and contracts.

• Assisted a foreign CEO in a RMB 23 million claim against his former employer for wrongful dismissal
