About Kevin
Kevin specializes in foreign investment with a strong focus on the media, IT, telecoms and education sectors. He has extensive experience in advising multinational clients on various legal matters relating to market entry, M&A, complex regulatory issues and operational matters and is also a specialist in PRC IP law.
Prior to joining TransAsia, Kevin worked in a leading Beijing-based IP firm, where he advised multinationals on matters relating to trademark registration, copyright protection, licensing and IP-related dispute resolution.

- Acted as Electronic Arts' PRC Counsel for its US$ 300million acquisition of Playfish (a leading creator of social network games)
- Advised Sports Weekly, PRC's leading sports media publisher with its international copyright licensing transactions
- Outside general counsel to the China Film Group for its film and television productions, as well as its new media initiatives
- Assisted Bertelsmann in a wide range of PRC investment projects, including the establishment of the first foreign-invested retail chain company and wholesale book company in the PRC
- Advised a leading multinational tobacco company on legal issues involving PRC marketing initiatives and general corporate matters
- Assisted Electronic Arts in its various PRC investments, including its US$ 167million acquisition of 15% of the common shares in The9 Limited
- Advised The Walt Disney Company on both its film making and Internet activities in the PRC
- Represented Alibaba.com in the largest PRC Internet acquisition to date
- Advised Nokia on its various PRC operational matters
- Assisted a number of major U.S. investment funds in their acquisition of companies in the PRC Internet and education sectors
- Advised Gruhner+Jahr with its PRC acquisitions and general corporate matters
- Assisted Glu Mobile in its acquisition of a leading PRC mobile games company
