About Kingbury

Kingbury is member of our Private Equity & Venture Capital and Corporate & Commercial teams. Assisting clients in a wide range of industries including IT and telecoms, education and advertising, she regularly advises on market entry, vehicle establishment and post-establishment issues, as well as general corporate matters.

Kingbury recently commenced building a practice in film law, working with TransAsia’s Media & Entertainment group to draft film co-production agreements.  

Recent Projects

• Participated in advising Tiger Global, a leading private equity fund, on its private equity investment in Dulwich (a leading private school) and several other leading educational institutions in China
• Helped advise OPI (whose flagship companies Mop.com and Xiaonei.com are the leading community websites in China) on a US$ 430 million investment by Softbank
• Assisted Qunar.com (the largest PRC online travel search engine) on its seed financing and subsequent venture capital financing by several reputable private equity funds
• Participated in advising Ancestry.com (formerly The Generations Network) on its market entry structure and ongoing operational matters
• Helped advise the China Film Group on template contracts for foreign co-productions and domestic film projects
