About York

York is a member of TransAsia’s Employment team. He advises comprehensively on all areas of employment law, including with regard to social security, termination and retrenchment, welfare benefits, and internal corporate policies. He is experienced in the preparation of employment-related documents and regularly engages in the resolution of labor disputes (mediation and arbitration). He is also involved with several of the firm’s other practice areas, including Real Estate and Media & Entertainment.

Prior to joining TransAsia, York worked for a large local law firm specializing in intellectual property protection and general corporate and commercial matters.

Recent Projects

• Assisted in advising a leading U.S. software producer on labor dispute arbitration
• Helped advise a multinational energy company on its contract with a human resources service provider
• Assisted an international media group to conclude secondment employment contracts with a Shanghai advertising company
• Participated in advising a U.S. listed company seeking to acquire a Chinese high-tech manufacturer and assisted in conducting employment legal due diligence
