TransAsia’s Banking & Finance team operates in close cooperation with our strategic alliance partner firms worldwide as well as our M&A, Outbound Investment and Corporate & Commercial practices.  Representing both borrowers and lenders, we advise on local and cross-border banking and financing issues. We have represented Sino-foreign joint ventures in their dealings with local and foreign banks, and have similarly advised foreign parties on funding and security issues with respect to their investments in China.
 
Our capabilities in this area are enhanced by our close collaboration with Freehills (TransAsia’s alliance firm in Australia) and Torys (TransAsia’s alliance firm in Canada), both of which are widely recognized as having one of the leading banking and finance law practices in their jurisdictions. They have a strong team that prides itself on technical excellence, commercial savoir faire and responsiveness in facilitating and negotiating transactions.
 
TransAsia’s Managing Partner previously served as Chief Representative to China and Legal Advisor, and also as Senior Advisor, of Crédit Agricole.
